Ayatollah Mesbah: Iranianism is the Motto of the Baha’is
The member of the Assembly of Experts said, “Being an Iranian should never replace [being a Muslim]. Iranianism is a slogan used by the Baha’is and it is not an honour. We must know that nothing in the world is comparable to Islam, and everything is the sacrifice of Islam, and everything grows in the light of Islam.
According to the Mehr correspondent, Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, a member of the Assembly of Experts, this afternoon, during the commemoration ceremony of Ayatollah Khoshvaght in the mosque of Sharif University of Technology, pointed out the problems that are created in the society in the absence of a scholar and the vacuum it creates in Islam, and added, “Depending on the role of the scholar in different aspects of Islam, [he will] affect the society according to the extent to which he has understood Islam and the dimensions of Islam in which he has been skillful and specialized.” ...

He added, “If someone says that the era of Islamism is over, tomorrow he will say that the era of godliness and morality is also over. Do not the humanists and relativists say this now? One day they say homosexuality is good and the next day they may say it is bad.”
Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, emphasizing that the main principle of Islam is the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist, clarified, “In which country of the world do you know a leader who serves Islam and Muslims with such purity, holiness, love for people and forgiveness?”
Addressing the audience, he said, “Be careful not to come and say wrong things―not to come and say that we are talking about the righteous government and raise the issue of the president of Venezuela. In one word, we believe in Islam―Islamic rules―and in practice, we believe in the deputy of the Imam-i-Zaman [The Lord of the Age] who is the Islamic jurist.”
He continued, “The first duty towards God’s help to our society is the [teaching] originated from Islam. Islam is what God and the Prophet have described. Other interpretations are of the devil and they want to lead us astray.”
