Based on Ayatollah Borujerdi’s Fatwa [Decree]:

The consumption of Pepsi Cola has been officially banned, because the founder of Pepsi-Cola Company is a Baha’i.

This decree has more of a religious character. The people of Qom have refused to buy and sell Pepsi Cola.

As our correspondent has reported, Ayatollah Borujerdi has boycotted the consumption of Pepsi Cola, and by order of His Honour the Ayatollah, people have refused to buy and sell Pepsi Cola since yesterday in the city of Qom.

[According to our investigation], the founder of the Pepsi Cola organization is Mr. Sabet Pasal, who is a Baha’i. This order is mostly religious in nature and has positively affected the religious circles.
