The Islamic Revolutionary Court of Tehran – Evin
On 28 Ordibehesht 1370 [18 May 1991], during a special session, Branch 3 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Tehran was convened under the supervision of the undersigned to carry out the sacred order of the esteemed leader of the Islamic Revolution dated 16 Shahrivar 1368 [7 September 1989]. File number 22634/M/61/524, regarding Vahid Vahdat-i-Hagh, birth certificate number [redacted], Shahab Vahdat-i-Hagh, birth certificate number [redacted]; and Ruhi or Ruhiyyeh Vahdat-i-Hagh, birth certificate number [redacted], all of whom are children of Hosein [Vahdat-i-Hagh] and are among the Iranians belonging to the perverse Baha’i sect who have fled the country, and their properties that remain in Iran, was reviewed.
[Having reviewed] the file and the usual investigations, and based on the bill of indictment dated 10 Farvardin 1370 [30 March 1991] issued by the Office of the Assistant to the Public Prosecutor, Branch 20 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Tehran, and with reliance upon the order issued in the year 1360 [1981/1982] for the father of the aforementioned individuals, Farhang Hoseini Vahdat-i-Hagh (deceased), who was one of the active leaders of the Zionist spy network of Baha’is and was sentenced to execution and confiscation of his properties [illegible] and for his wife by the name of Paridokht Khaze, daughter of Khodabakhsh, retired employee of the Department of Education, who also was under investigation for alleged activities and membership in the aforementioned perverse sect per court order number 4656, dated 4 Aban 1364 [26 October 1985], issued by Branch 7 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court (p 130), we now announce the following.
Based on the evidence and documents contained in the file, including the statements of Mrs. Khaze, her children are Baha’is and descendants of Baha’is who, before and after the victory of the glorious Islamic Revolution, left the country and, it appears, have immigrated to West Germany and Australia, and have so far not returned to the country, the verified possessions they have left behind, consisting of three units of residential apartments located at [redacted], have been confiscated and placed under the supervision of the Islamic Revolutionary Court (p. 54, 40, and …), and despite the published announcement in the large circulation newspaper, Ettelaat, dated 12 Ordibehesht 1369 [2 May 1990], they have failed to appear at the Public Prosecutor’s Office (p 191). Also, in view of the reports received and investigations that have been conducted, and their exit from the jurisdiction of the Islamic Republic, and their file having been sent to the courts for a decision about the aforementioned individuals’ properties, which was referred to this Branch on 22 Ordibehesht 1370 [12 May 1991], now this Branch, after reviewing all of the contents of the file and the court order contained therein and the [aforementioned individuals’] absence from the court, hereby announces the completion of the proceedings in view of sufficient investigation and issues its decision as follows.
Decision of the Court
In view of the contents of the file and statements above, given that Vahid Vahdat-i-Hagh, birth certificate number [redacted], Shahab Vahdat-i-Hagh, birth certificate number [redacted], and Ruhi or Ruhiyyih Vahdat-i-Hagh, birth certificate number [redacted], all of whom are children of Hosein [Vahdat-i-Hagh] are among the Iranians belonging to the perverse Baha’i sect who left the country around the time of the victory of the glorious Islamic Revolution, and despite the length of time and the invitation published in the large circulation newspaper of Ettelaat, dated Esfand 1369 [February/March 1991], they have not returned to the country and remain outside the jurisdiction of the Islamic Republic of Iran, their remaining property is not worthy of respect. This Court issues and announces its order for the confiscation of the entirety of their known property, whether in their name or put under the names of others. Also, with reliance upon the sacred order issued on 6 Ordibehesht 1368 [26 April 1989] by His Highness, the Imam, the confiscated properties will be given to the esteemed representatives of the Learned Guardians, Hojatoleslam Haj Sheikh Mehdi Karroubi and Haj Sheikh Hasan Saemi.
This order, which has been issued to execute the mandate dated 16 Shahrivar 1368 [7 September 1989] of the exalted leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, must be carried out upon approval of the esteemed Head of Branch 1 of the Court.
