Today’s Discussion Campaign against Bahaism

In our issue number 37, under the above title, we expressed at length our belief in the campaign against Baha’ism and mentioned how dangerous and damaging this perverse sect and its corrupt organizations are for our country. [We said] that we must, in following the wishes of the great spiritual leader, the honourable Ayatollah Borujerdi, and under the leadership of His Grand Imperial Majesty, strive to uproot the basis of Baha’ism, and, as it is the programme and aim of the government of Iran to finish this matter with complete sobriety and peacefully—so that, God forbid, we do not provide  excuses for the foreign politicians, who are always seeking an opportunity to take advantage of the situationonce more prove our social and political maturity in a sacred and important campaign.

However, the reason for renewing this topic as the main article of today’s issue is that, because the interpretations of our special reporter of Baha’ism will be printed in this issue, [we do not wish] to provide opportunity for unfair and jealous people to find an excuse [to blame us]; they realize that writings and interpretations of events by the  reporters of a newspaper are never the firm opinion of that newspaper.

In response to those who may say, “If you were not in agreement with what your reporter has written, why did you print it?” it must be said that the newspaper is the publisher of different ideas and we recognize it as our duty  to bring such an important issue to the attention of our readers and inform them, as much as possible, of changes and different interpretations made around this topic.
