25 Ordibehesht 1364 [15 May 1985]
In the Name of God
Office of the Prosecutor of Islamic Revolution in the Central Province
Honourable Sharia Judge, Mr. Nazemzadeh
Respectfully, I convey the following: In the year 1360 [1981/1982], I, Abdol-Shoghi Tebyani, was arrested, tried, sentenced and imprisoned for six months in Evin. According to the Supreme Council verdict number 1392/Ayn, dated 25 Esfand 1362 [15 March 1984], all fixed and intangible assets were confiscated; as a result, the company, the Tehran factory, Abyek Factory, which produced industrial and construction machinery, transport equipment, etc., was transferred to the Martyrs Foundation, and is currently listed in the Office of the Prime Minister under Addendum 82. I even personally handed over the car, which was a model eight years ago and the pickup truck, to the Prosecutor’s Office in the Central Province.
If you examine my professional background, you will see that I have worked, studied and have experience in the field of metal casting for forty years without interruption, and have employed hundreds of people in the technical and industrial fields. Now they have all become masters at different levels according to their talents, and are working or have their own businesses.
From the date of my arrest until now, when I am free, I feel that I am a burden on society, am unable to get a job due to my age, and am struggling to support myself and my family. According to the information, the determination of exceptions is exclusively subject to the opinion of Your Honour, the Sharia judge; therefore, I request that the esteemed official, if possible, agree that a small number of tools and equipment available in my former factory, even used, be given to me, so that I will be able to provide for my daily living expenses and be of some service, and regarding other matters, whatever you order will be appreciated, and I will thank the Almighty God.
[Handwritten note at the bottom of the page]
My decision is the same as it has been communicated, the appeal is subject to the Supreme Council.
