7 People in Tehran were shot by firing squad
Badiollah Yazdani, Shamsollah Gohari, Gholam-Hosein Azami, Ali-Akbar Moghimi [Moini]
The Islamic Revolutionary Court of Justice in Markaz, condemned 7 individuals as mofsed-e felarz [spreading corruption on earth] and sentenced them to death. This sentence was carried out today. The public relations office of the public prosecutor general of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in releasing this news, announced their names to our reporter as follows:
1-[Mr.] Badiollah Yazdani, son of Reza-Gholi, accused of looting millions of tomans from the Bayt al-Mal [Public Treasury], seizing the farmlands from farmer residents of Taleghan and Rabat Karim, committing murder, participation in the 28 Mordad [19 August] coup d’état, and assisting Israel.
2-[Mr.] Shamsollah Gowhari, son of Nayyerollah, accused of collaborating with Hojabr Yazdani in looting the Bayt al-Mal, participating in the murder of Jahan-Bakhsh Kenarsari Anhari.
3-[Mr.] Gholam-Hosein Azami, son of Haydar, for confrontation with the Mahdi Shahr revolutionaries, terrorizing Muslims with armed action and repeated shooting on Muharram 57 [December 1978] nights, and cooperation with Hojabr Yazdani and insulting the Imams.
4-Ali-Akbar Moini, son of Gholam-Hosein, for the crime of collaborating with Hojabr Yazdani, for looting the Bayt al-Mal [Public Treasury] and plundering the lands of the oppressed farmers, and taking action against Islam, intervention in the exile of clerics, and involvement in the escape of Hojabr Yazdani.
Our reporter added that the order was carried out at the Evin Prison this morning, Tuesday,
16 Ordibehesht 1359 [6 May 1980] at 1:45 a.m., and the seven mentioned were lined up in front of the firing squad and were shot and killed.
