For the First Time, [Handwritten Statement] of Imam Khomeini Regarding Perverse Baha’i Sect Was Published with Picture

The [handwritten statement] of Imam Khomeini regarding the perverse Baha’i sect was published for the first time.

According to the reports about the party and the organizations of the political group of the Young Journalists Club, the Islamic Revolution Document Center Database, has published, in the form of an electronic journal, the special issue of “The Hidden and Unhidden Dimensions of Baha’ism”, with the approach of examining “the struggles of the clergy with the perverse Baha’i sect” and “the relationship of Baha’is with the Zionist regime”.

For the first time, in the file of “The Hidden and Unhidden Dimensions of Baha’ism”, the handwritten istifta [seeking religious advice] of Imam Khomeini about the perverse Baha’i sect has been published:

In the Name of God, Who is the Beloved

28 Dhu’l-Hijja 1383 [11 May 1964]

The blessed presence of His Holiness, the Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, may God bless the Muslims with his prolonged life,

It is requested and appreciated that you clarify the question of marriage to the members of the Baha’i sect—giving or taking a wife from them—and their taharat[1] or najasat,[2] especially for entering the Muslim bathhouses.

Mohammad Ali

“In the Name of God

This perverse tribe is infidel and najis[3] and marrying them is not permissible, and they should not enter the Muslim bathhouses.”

Istifta from the Blessed Presence of His Holiness the Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi,

[Arabic phrase][4]

What does Your Honour, the Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi, say about the Muslims’ socializing and conducting transactions with the Baha’is in matters such as drinking and eating with them, inviting them and celebrating with them, visiting them [in homes], marrying them, taking a wife from them, entering their baths and/or allowing them to enter the Muslim baths, making business deals with them, leasing and renting their property and vehicles, employing them and lending them our properties and vehicles, seeking medical treatment from them, using their barber shops, working for them―either gratis or under any of the Sharia transactions, such as wage payment―engaging in any kind of cooperative farming and crop sharing system with them, having partnerships and trade agreements, and being at peace with them at the time of association, and transactions with them? We plead with you to express your honourable opinion in writing.

“In the Name of God,

It is necessary for Muslims to leave association, opposition and dealing with this sect. I just ask the Muslims not to lose their peace and patience.”
