Respected Head of Administration of Justice, Mazandaran Province (Sari)

Greetings

Plaintiff: Vahid Mirza-Golpour

Defendant: Public Places Supervision Office Mazandaran Province

I wish to, hereby, inform you that on 11 Aban 1395 [1 November 2016] at 7:00 [a.m.], two individuals on a motorcycle without a licence plate, came within the vicinity of my place of business and one took several pictures of my shop with his phone. When I asked for the reason, they introduced themselves as architects from the Mayors’ Office. The next day, on 12 Aban 1395 [2 November 2016], at 11:30 in the morning, my place of business was sealed by agents of the Public Places Supervision Office. When I inquired about this matter at the trade union (which supervises trade entities), I was unable to find any letters documenting any trade violation. Also, none of the relevant authorities had any documents regarding sealing of my shop or any private complaint to the relevant office and they indicated that they had no information about the matter. It seems that the of Public Places Supervision Office has taken direct action outside the bounds of the Law of Trade and the Constitution of the Islamic Republic, which in Article 14 obligates Muslims to respect the rights of non-Muslims and to behave with fairness and Islamic justice and good manners towards them. Therefore, I request that your office follows and alleviates this problem.

With gratitude
