The Plan to Condemn the Baha’i Sect in Iran

As a result of the religious and historical speeches of the famous preacher of Asia, Seqatol-Eslam Haj Sheikh Mohammad Taghi Falsafi, from the pulpit of Soltani Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan, such sentiments about the Baha’i sect and Baha’ism are aroused among the Iranian Muslims, which is rarely seen.

But since there was a possibility of disturbance, Mr. Falsafi called on the people to calm down and warned the government to suppress the sect through law enforcement and in the region of the security.

Tehran Military Governorate…. stepped forward and occupied the Baha’i club [Baha’i Centre]; the soldiers prayed there and the call of “God Almighty” resounded there.

… His Holiness Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi, His Holiness Ayatollah Behbahani and His Holiness Ayatollah Nabavi Nouri expressed their affirmative views in this regard and thanked the emperor…

The issue of Baha’ism was raised in the parliament, and in last Tuesday’s private meeting, it was talked about and a plan was signed by 60 members of parliament to confiscate Baha’i property in favour of the government and expel them from the government offices. Also, those who join this sect will be sentenced to 15 years in prison.

... All discussions on this issue are about avoiding the occurrence of disturbance and abolishing Baha’ism through the laws.

What is certain is that, in the Islamic country of Iran, the evil lineage of heresy must be eradicated, and the seeds of the anti-Islamic sect should not be allowed to be sown after this.

In a private session ... National Consultative Assembly’s Deputy Speaker Noureddine and Seyyed Ahmad Safaei said whatever they should have said about this issue and outlined the ways to combat Baha’ism. We are also waiting for the legal actions of the government… To make a strong and firm decision, in order to strengthen the foundation of the true religion of Jafari and perform its assigned duties…

In the name of religion, we appreciate the services of Major General Alavi Moghadam, the chief of police, and Brigadier General Bakhtiar, the military governor of Tehran, who, under the special attention of the king, have taken steps to strengthen the foundations of the religion.
