Martyred Madani started his social and political struggles at the time of his studies in Qom. During his first activities, he returned to his hometown, Azarshahr, for a while. He made speeches against the social and economic influence of the Baha’is in Azarshahr, which led to the expulsion of the Baha’is from the city. Madani was arrested several times by the SAVAK during the 1340s [1960s] and then was sent into exile.

Madani was finally assassinated on 21 Shahrivar 1360 [12 September 1981] during the Friday prayers.
