Sina Kamali Sarvestani, a Baha’i Citizen, Was Arrested in Shiraz
HRANA News Agency – On Monday, 24 Khordad [14 June], Sina Kamali Sarvestani, a Baha’i resident of Shiraz, was arrested by security forces in front of his home and taken to an unknown location. Prior to his arrest, the officers searched his home, confiscated some of his personal belongings and took them away.
According to the HRANA news agency, the news organ of the Iranian Association of Human Rights Activists, on Monday, 24 Khordad 1400 [14 June 2021], Sina Kamali Sarvestani, a Baha’i citizen, was arrested by security forces in Shiraz and taken to an unknown location.
During Kamali’s arrest, the officers reportedly searched his home and confiscated all family members’ electronics, including cell phones, laptops, and a number of books and took them away.
At the time of writing this report, no information is available on the entity making the detention, the status or whereabouts of this citizen.
