Damghan Residents Gathered to Banish the Baha’is from the City

The Situation in Damghan Is Not Calm

Damghan – The day before yesterday in the evening, a number of Damghan inhabitants who had been intensely excited and whose religious sentiments had been aroused by the speech of Mr. Falsafi, the famous preacher, attacked the homes of the Baha’is of Damghan with the intention of banishing them from the city. After assaulting them, they kicked them out of their homes. However, in the meantime, the police officers were informed of the situation and they immediately went to the location of the incident and dispersed the fanatical crowd, who were vigorously insisting that Baha’is should be expelled from the city, and returned the Baha’is to their homes. But the situation in Damghan is not yet calm, and people anxiously await the actions of the authorities to exile the Baha’is from the city.
