Request for dismissal of Baha’is
Yesterday, representatives of religious organizations and various groups within the society wired telegrams of gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty for having issued the order to close down the Haziratu’l-Quds [Baha'i Centre] f the Baha’is and to prevent them from disseminating their propaganda. [They] also thanked the National Consultative Assembly, requesting it to pass a law to proclaim the Baha’i religion and its institutions as illegal, thereby cleansing Iran from the contamination of their existence. Such an act would add a bright and shining page to the National Consultative Assembly’s record.
