Yesterday at Dawn, 14 Individuals were Executed by Firing Squad

 

Tabriz

Yesterday at dawn, at the order of the Islamic Revolutionary Court and the Special Prosecutor’s Office for combatting narcotics, [seven individuals] who had already been condemned to death stood before the firing squad and the judgement against them was performed.

Following the execution yesterday of seven individuals in Tabriz, their names were released and their charges were announced.

 

The Islamic Revolutionary Court, after investigating the files of seven indicted accused, condemned them to death and they issued the decision yesterday at dawn. The names and the charges against the executed ones are as follows: Yadollah Astani, Dr. Samandari, both of whom were Baha’is and they were accused of having collaborated with the dissolved SAVAK[1], espionage for Israel, suppression of the people, sending money and information to Israel…[2].
