Our Correspondent’s Report From Cities

Our correspondent from Shiraz writes:

“During the reign of the provincial governor, General Hemmat, who was a follower of the school of the Bab, the people’s life in this city was in recession and many jobs, including the elections of the city council, were stagnant. This ruined the City of Shiraz and caused a great deal of dissatisfaction amongst the residents; but now, during Mr. Farrokh’s governorship, who is demonstrating much goodwill, the preparations for the city council elections have begun and the following announcement has been published in this regard by Mr. Seyyed Majdud-Din Mesbahi.
