The beloved Prime Minister of Iran,

Respectfully, we, the residents of the villages in the region of Siahkal, who use the water from the Shamroud River as a source of drinking water, convey the following.

Even though the beloved prime minister and his government officials are diligent about strengthening the sacred religion of Islam, which is esteemed by His Majesty the Shah, the Agricultural Organization of Gilan has, regrettably, appointed Mr. Amin Ostovari—a Baha’i who has a lifetime record of spreading Baha’i propaganda and abusing the people—as an officer in charge of water distribution, thus  endangering the lives of tens of thousands of poor families whose only source of living is the water from Shamroud, and allowing the best opportunity to use this vital essence in order to promote and advance this so-called Baha’i religion. In addition to the issue of his religion, the above-mentioned has been the water distributer since the end of last year, and has not provided water to anyone but his friends and allies. Complaints have also been made against him, and the Agricultural Office of Lahijan sent an inspector and reported his unlawful actions. The file is available at the Agricultural Office in Lahijan.

With this petition, we ask you to issue an order to keep the hands of this Baha’i individual off the water, which is the source of life for the poor and hardworking peasants, and make us ever so grateful for your kindness.

Sh. A. 2242

Respectfully,

Seyyed Mohammad Hoseini – Torab Sharif – Abdolhosein Kiani – Salar Ranjbar and a few other signatures and fingerprints
