Full Report on Incidents in Shiraz, Abadeh …

Shiraz’s incident,

On Monday last week, the Baha’is of Shiraz decided to repair the wall of the house of Seyyed Ali-Mohammad Bab, which had been demolished by some Muslims a while ago. This news reached the Commander of the Police Force via the members of the Baradaran Party, whose leader is Mr. Seyyed Noureddin. The Commander of the Police Force told them that he did not have an order to stop them! As a result, at 10 am on the same day, Mr. Seyyed Noureddin sent a telegraph to different officials in Tehran requesting [action] to prevent the building of the wall. Meanwhile, few members of the Baradaran Party with other business people of Shiraz attacked the house of Seyyed Ali-Mohammad Bab with sticks and club.  At the same time, another group, formed from the bazaar and different areas of the city held demonstrations. As a result, the Military, the Gendarmerie and the Police Force became involved, dispersing the protesters and declaring martial law. By 1 pm, peace was established in Shiraz and the building the above-mentioned house was prevented from continuing.
