The Reports of Our Journalists from the Cities

Our reporter in Shiraz writes:

“During the governorship of General Hemmat, who was a follower of the Bab’s ideology, the lives of the people of this city were stagnant and much of their work had been stopped.

For instance, one of the issues was the election of a city council that destroyed the City of Shiraz and caused a great deal of discontent amongst the residents.

However, under the governorship of Mr. Farrokh, who shows good will, the election process for the city council has now started, and a related circular has been published by Mr. Seyyed Majdodin Mesbahi.”
