Why was there no discussion of the plan to confiscate the assets of the Baha’is?

It is said that since the plan regarding confiscation of the belongings of the Baha’is, which was presented by the [National Consultative] Assembly representative Mr. Safaie, has created undesirable effects in investment circles as a result of extensive propaganda by the Baha’is both inside and outside Iran, and has caused all American investors to be concerned about investing in Iran.  Consequently, the Government has shown no interest in the plan, and considered the Interior Minister’s communique [regarding this matter] as sufficient.
