During my visit to the villages of Kata, Maymand and [illegible], and other villages, accompanied by comrade Vaizi-Zadih, the Sharia judge of the province, it was stated on behalf of the Baha’is of the district that the cooperative has refused to provide rations for sugar, sugar cubes, etc., [illegible] to the Baha’is. As all individuals, regardless of their religious denomination, are protected by the Islamic Republic of Iran, and despite the fact that Bahaism is not [an officially] recognized and accepted belief, it is befitting to honor their valid coupons and provide the food items to them for the sake of the elderly and children.
