By Order of the Islamic Revolutionary Court 2 Zionist Spies Were Executed by Firing Squad in Shiraz

The [two] executed individuals had close connections with the House of Justice in Haifa, the Israeli centre of espionage, and Colonel Vahdat, the infamous Zionist spy.  Page 2, column 1

By order of the Islamic Revolutionary Court 2 Zionist Spies Were Executed by Firing Squad in Shiraz

Shiraz – Kayhan reporter – By order of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Shiraz, Mehdi Anvari Tafti, son of Masih, and Hedayatollah Dehghani, son of Nasrollah, were convicted for engaging in espionage and “spreading corruption on earth” and thus sentenced to death. 

By order of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Shiraz, Mehdi Anvari Tafti, son of Masih, [was convicted of] having close connection with the House of Justice in Haifa—the Israeli centre of Zionist espionage, and Colonel Vahdat—the infamous Zionist spy; collaboration with SAVAK[1] and those who were planning a military coup; making monetary contributions to the House of Justice in Haifa, and having received a letter of appreciation from that centre; causing division and confusion among Muslims; and membership in the National Assembly of the Baha’is; and Hedayatollah Dehghani, son of Nasrollah, native of Abadeh, Shiraz, [was] convicted of connection with Colonel Vahdat; recruitment of uninformed and illiterate people, especially villagers, and receiving a letter of appreciation for his efforts from the Baha’i National Assembly for contacting 250 elders, Reeves, and heads of the Ashayer tribesmen; recording of the phone conversations of the government authorities; intimidation of Baha’is who converted to Islam; and for active involvement in the Baha’i assemblies of Abadeh. For these and other crimes, they were declared as “spreading corruption on earth” [and engaging in] ‘Waging War against God, His Prophet and the 12th Imam’, and sentenced to death. Subsequent to the endorsement of the Supreme Court, the court order was enforced.
