In the Name of the Most High

The court session of the accused,

1- Mrs. Rafat Bargh-Asa, daughter of Ataollah from Maragheh, resident of Miandoab, current address: hospital; mother-in-law’s address: [redacted] occupation: nurse’s aide, having husband and children, literate and Baha’i, resident of Iran with no prior criminal record.

2- Mrs. Asieh Lami, daughter of Arabali from Miandoab and resident of  [redacted], having husband and children, literate and Baha’i, resident of Iran with no prior criminal record.

At 10:00 a.m., Saturday, 15/6/1359 (6 September 1980) [illegible] and after a review of the file records, the accused were questioned on their religion and have answered: Baha’i with Baha’i parents, and not prepared to become Muslim—it was proposed that they become Muslim several times and they refused—after hearing the defence of the accused, [the court] has issued the verdict as below:

 

Court Verdict

In accordance with the file records and [illegible] [confessions of] the accused and their [refusal] to accept Islam, the court ruled and declared that they are dismissed from the hospital and released on bail until their punishment has been determined, in accordance with Islamic law and standards by the Supreme Judiciary Council and the approval of the relevant bill through the Islamic Consultative Assembly.

They have refused to sign.

As a remark, the accused are released on a bail of one million rial.
