Ministry of the Interior
We enclose herewith a copy of the telegram report from Abadeh, dated 8 Khordad 1334 [30 May 1955], regarding a group of people of Soghad who went to Koushkak with the intention of burning the properties and the homes of the Baha’is. This has been temporarily prevented by the relevant authorities. Regrettably there has been one unpleasant incident. At this moment, the situation in that place is tense, which could give way to hostile events. If the inhabitant’s feelings surge high, the present law enforcement officers will not be able to prevent an uprising. Please arrange for the deployment of more law enforcement forces to Abadeh, to take precautionary action and also to order the officers to avoid any kind of subversive and unexpected future movements.
On behalf of the Prime Minister
