A Member of the Isfahan City Council Was Barred From Attending Council Meetings
The case investigator banned me from attending the Islamic Council of Isfahan for six months with a judicial supervision order.
Porcesh – Mehdi Moghaddari, a member of the Islamic Council of Isfahan, has said that he has been banned from attending Council meetings for six months by a court ruling.
Mehdi Moghaddari wrote on his Instagram, “This morning, while attending Branch 11 of the Isfahan Public Investigation and Revolution, I made my last defence in cases related to tweets and Instagram posts in defence of Mehdi Hajati, a member of the Shiraz City Council, and Dr. Ali Asghar Gharavi, a Quran researcher and a political activist, and at the end of the session, the case investigator suspended me from attending [the meetings of] the Islamic Council of Isfahan for six months under judicial supervision.”
Mehdi Hajati, a member of the Shiraz City Council, was arrested on 5 Mehr [27 September 2018], last year, after tweeting about the pursuit of two Baha’is in the city.
Mehdi Hajati was released after 10 days of detention on bail of 200 million tomans.
