Subject: Confiscation of Property of Baha’is
As stipulated in the Minutes of the meeting of the Islamic Revolutionary Committee of the City of Chahbahr dated 15/12/1357 [6 March 1979], in response to complaints and protests of Muslim [citizens of this] nation regarding the Baha’i cemetery, which comprises [in total] 19,856 square meters, which, according to letter number 7381, dated 3/3/1335 [24 May 1956] that was written during Mr. Moini’s governorship in response to letter number 1125, dated 15/3/1335 [5 June 1956] from the municipality of Chahbahr, had previously been allocated for that purpose, on 16/12/1357 [7 March 1979], the Chahbahr Islamic Revolutionary Committee took possession of this cemetery to be used for the purpose of affairs related to religious charity. Additionally, the Baha’is of Chahbahr have no right to possess the aforementioned land, and if they have registered it during the reign of the former dictatorial government and hold a deed of ownership, their deed to the land will not be considered officially valid and holds no legal value.

Copy is sent to Mr. Mohammad Taab, chairman of the Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís for information about the confiscation of the aforementioned land.
Copy is sent to Chahbahr Municipality for information, please note that the aforementioned land has been allocated for use of religious and Islamic activities and the ownership of Baha’is of Chahbahr has been canceled.
