Why Muslim students?

A student is one who studies at the university, and from this point of view, students are in the same rank…

…But it is evident that Islam bears militancy and despondency within. And it is also evident that the militant Islam battles valiantly with gods of “wealth, power and deception” and the despondent [Muslim] would not go further than chanting requiems and narrating tragedies. And it has been and will be heavily under the favour of wealth and power; the subject of separatist “Muslim students” has overshadowed our minds with ambiguity. Which Islam? the militant Islam or the despondent Islam lured by the dominant power? And yet we believe that this mode of denomination would open the gates to sectarianism. God forbid, tomorrow, “Jewish students”, “Baha’i students”, “Assyrian” and “Gilani students”, “Azari students”, and so on….

It is much better that groupings be as such: the students supporting Dr. Shariati, students supporting Mujahedin, students supporting the organization of the Iranian People’s Fadai Guerrillas and …

We trust that any grouping based on racial, gender, geographical, religious and … are against the anti-imperialism campaigns, since they would plant the seeds of dissension from within, even deeper. Let us recall Algeria and the French imperialist groups and how they strengthened religious and regional sectarianism and …
