Head Office of Personnel, Province of Tehran

Organization -----

Considering that after the enactment of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, all divisions of ministry offices or governmental organizations are to base their operations on Islamic laws and the values of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it is unseemly to employ those who openly state their affiliation with the perverse Baha’i sect. Uncorrupted religious conviction [illegible] is among the requirements for employment stipulated in Article 14 of the National Employment Act and Article 6 of the Social Security Employment Regulations and-or other employment regulations. Therefore, you are directed to immediately issue an order to investigate the cases of those who are accused of being Baha’is and record the outcome in writing. If [those who are found to be Baha’is] still insist [on holding to their religion] and confirm their belief, their employment contracts will be nullified (whether based on the National Employment Act and Article 6 of the Social Welfare/Security Employment Regulations and/or other employment regulations) and their employment is to be terminated by 1 Bahman 1359 [21January 1981]. Their years of employment will be calculated according to employment legislation.
