National Consultative Assembly,

Copy: His Honour, the Prime Minister,

Copy: Ministry of War,

The inhabitants of Abadeh, incited by a number of heads of departments in order to achieve their personal gain, with the pretext of religious differences, are busy pillaging, dishonouring and destroying the innocent Baha’is. Corruption and revolt are ruling over safety. The relevant authorities have not and do not prevent any wrongdoings. The brutalities perpetrated by the seditious and the merciless Shemr outdo the unprecedented actions of the previous centuries. Not only do they bother the living, but they also bother the dead. The authorities’ negligence will lead to boundless revolts. Where and from whom should the poor people seek refuge? We plead urgent remedy and investigation.
