Whenever we page through the recent three-hundred-year history of our country and observe the misery and calamity that has befallen us during these periods, we observe the involvement of the British Empire inside it. This reality has not remained hidden from the British historians’ remarks either, as they have recorded those events with utmost clarity…
…Today [our] nation looks at your actions with hatred and contempt and considers your undertakings as ugly and distasteful, and we no longer pay attention to what you say. Otherwise, each of the happenings of Baha’ism, the Khorasan issue, the deeds of Daad- Shah, upheaval of the Fars, events of Shahroud, were sufficient by themselves to revive the clamour of the past thirty or forty years, and you do whatever you want...
