News from Mashhad indicates that the law enforcement in that city has warned clerical preachers and speakers to leave Mashhad within 24 hours, since they have been preaching against the perverse Baha’i sect. Police have even prevented assemblies for religious sermons.

We wish to draw the attention of Major General Alavi Moghaddam, chief commissioner of the police, to the following:

Last Thursday afternoon, His Holiness Ayatollah Shirazi, Haj-Seyyed Noureddin Shirazi, may God protect him, flew to Tehran without prior notice. Since the news of his arrival was telegraphed to the representatives of the Province of Fars in advance, many members of the National Consultative Assembly and the Senate, as well as dignitaries and distinguished figures, came to greet His Holiness at the airport…
