Wilmette, Ill, (Reuter) – Eight national leaders of the Baha'i religious movement in Iran have been executed, an official of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the United States said this week.

Glenford Mitchell, secretary of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the United States, said the assembly members in Iran were held without charge in a Tehran prison, no trials were reported, no official statements made and none of the victims' families had been notified.
