Decision number 57, date 28/2/1362 [18 May 1983], Preliminary Commission for the Restructuring of Human Resources for Iran Customs, National Public Warehouse Facilities, and Iran Customs Services (Tehran Province)

Accusations: Membership in the perverse Baha’i sect

Procedural Synopsis: The file against Mr. Mir-Ahmad, Surname: Karimpour, son of Mir-Ghasem, born 1326 [1947]; Birth certificate number: [redacted], issued in [redacted]; Organizational position: Coordinator of Administrative Affairs; Years of service: 8 years; Location of service: Building Office; Personnel number [illegible]; Education: [High School] Diploma; married/single; was reviewed.  The Commission reviewed the file and the evidence which was presented in it, and made the following decision:

 

Decision of the Commission

Having considered the file documents, the admission and defence of the accused, and letter number 62/4518-8/2/1362 [28 April 1983] of the Revolutionary Islamic Documentation Centre of Iran, as well as other circumstantial evidence in the file, the allegation against the accused is proven and established before the Commission.  The allegation against the aforementioned is  membership in a perverse sect, which is considered by all Muslims to be a non-Islamic [religion] (membership in the perverse Baha'i sect), subject of Clause 1 of Article 19, and Clause 8 of Article 29 of the Restructuring of Human Resources Act for Ministries, Government Organizations and Affiliated Institutions, ratified 5/7/1360 [27 September 1981], and pursuant to Clause 11 of Article 20 of said Act the accused is permanently dismissed from employment in government departments and affiliated institutions.  This decision, pursuant to Articles 46 and 47 of the abovementioned Act can be reviewed within 15 days of service upon the accused (be it [by delivery to the accused] or through other legally acceptable means) at the Review Board of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance.
