Indian Media, Endangered by Baha’ism

“... Given the great power of the media in shaping social insights and public discourse, the Baha’i community of India and the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) felt the urgent need to talk to media experts about how they practiced their religion.”

These are the words of Ms. Rajkhowa, Director, Office of Public Affairs of the Baha'is of India, in a meeting with the media in the country, which shows that the Baha’is have targeted the media in a new wave of propaganda, seeking access to the media and audio coverage to present an image of the Baha’i institutions within the frame of organization’s interests.

The plan was made in New Delhi by holding a conference entitled “Covering Religion with Sensitivity and Understanding in an Interdependent World” in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Mass Communication and the Office of Public Affairs of the Baha’is of India.

India’s turmoil and high population have long made it a breeding ground for a variety of sects.

The Baha’i sect organization has caught a lot of fish from this muddy water and based on its latest actions, intends to pave the way for entering the media by laying the suitable foundation.

Baha’ism has stated that they will continue to speak to the media in a series of roundtable events over the next year.
