Message of Ayatollah Borujerdi to Clerics of Tehran

…  Associates of Ayatollah Borujerdi, upon arrival [from Qom], contacted religious leaders in Tehran. They relayed the wishes of His Holiness for the beneficial decisions of the government, regarding the confiscation of Baha’i properties and their group’s being announced as illegal, to be implemented as soon as possible. However, in both the Senate and House of Representatives, some members believe such drastic measures may cause turmoil, and while ideas to pass harsh taxation laws could put pressure on them [Baha’is], in Islamic law such drastic measures may not be applied to kuffar who are only asked to pay jizya.
