Charge: Membership in the perverse Baha'i sect and marriage to a Baha'i woman which, consequently, is a violation of public morality, and constitutes adultery
Procedural Synopsis: The file of the accused, Mr. Mohammad-Hossein; surname Haghighi; son of Gholam-Hossein; born in 1302 ; birth certificate number [redacted]; issued in [redacted]; organizational post former Head of the [Communications] Cable Lines Unit; presently retired; location of service Fars; employee number [redacted]; education Grade five; married, was reviewed by the Commission and Subsequent to reviewing the file records, in its meeting of 26/6/1362 [17 September 1983], the Commission rendered its decision as follows:
In view of the file records and the report of the investigative committee (X), defence of the accused (X), testimony of witnesses (X), expert opinion (X), and letter 340/6/7B, [dated] 8/5/1362 [22 July 1983], as well as other circumstances connected with the case, [the Council] considers the charges against the accused proven and established. The charges are related to:
- Membership in the perverse Baha’i sect and refusal to recant in newspaper, pursuant to paragraph 1 Article 19;
- Continued indecent conduct contrary to public moral values by way of marrying a Bahá’í [woman], pursuant to paragraph 1 Article 18
of the Restructuring of Human Resources Act [pertaining to] Government Ministries and Offices, and affiliated Institutions, ratified 5/7/1360 [27 September 1981], and pursuant to paragraph 11 of Article 20 of said Act [the accused] is hereby condemned to permanent dismissal from government employment.
This decision, pursuant to Article 46 of the said Act is final and binding.
This decision can be appealed at the Appeal Board within 15 days from the date of service on the accused.
