To His Honour the Great Ayatollah Mahdavi-Kani

President of the Central Committee of the Revolution of Iran

Copy to Esteemed Minister of the Interior

Copy to Esteemed Head of the National Police Force

Respectfully, the instructions of the Central Committee to the Yasuj Committee have been received, but no action has yet been taken. Many homeless [persons] have taken refuge in Isfahan, but the armed members of the Revolutionary Committee of Isfahan have attacked our temporary refuge and with violence and insult have banished women and young children out of the city. At present, three hundred Baha’i families are wandering in the wastelands around Isfahan, perplexed and disconcerted. Where should we take refuge? Against the intentions of the great leader of the Islamic Revolutionary Government they are expelling and insulting us. We plead to you to come to the rescue of these stranded ones and issue serious orders for our safeguard so that these powerless ones can return to their homes, their lives and to their farms.

With appreciation,
