My dear wife,

With greetings and expressions of love and gratitude for our life together, we are being executed tonight, but they have not given us the verdict. I say goodbye to you and our relatives and leave my [mother] in your care. Help her if she so desires, otherwise she can go to stay with her grandchildren. Convey my kind greetings to all the friends. Believing in the sacred Baha’i Faith, I am pleased to drink the chalice of martyrdom. I do not wish to trouble you further; please do not be distressed at my departure.

Your [husband],

Dr. Firouz Naiemi
