Shiite, But Advocate of the Baha’is! (Special News)
Despite denying that her daughter was a Baha’i, Shirin Ebadi insisted on defending the Zionist and British-made sect.
Following the news of Shirin Ebadi’s daughter’s becoming a Baha’i, the mother, who lives in Canada, denied the news that her daughter had become a Baha’i and told Radio America, “My family and I are proud to be Shiite.”
Ebadi also, on behalf of seven Baha’i leaders accused of spying, claimed that she always defends political defendants. I am proud to be a Shiite, but I defend the Baha’is because they have the right to be defended.
This dual claim comes at a time when the deviant beliefs of the Baha’is are in stark contrast to the religious beliefs of the Shiites, and it is unclear how one can both be a Shiite and defend the members of an anti-Islamic sect under the pretext of advocacy, as well as defend anyone who acts against the popular Shiite system of the Islamic Republic.
A few days ago, the Baha’i Centre, known as the House of Justice, published a report praising the acts of Ebadi’s “goodwill, honesty, and courage”, commending her for holding a conference calling for the recognition of Baha’i rights.
It is worth mentioning that Radio America mentioned Kayhan Newspaper as a newspaper that quoted the news of Shirin Ebadi’s daughter’s becoming a Baha’i, while Kayhan had refused to quote it due to doubts about its authenticity.
