Representation of Iran at the European Headquarters of the United Nations:

Due to the disagreement of the members, the resolution of the Human Rights Commission against Iran was adopted with less than half of the members’ votes.

The Political Service of Kayhan: “The resolution of the Human Rights Commission against Iran was adopted with less than half of the members’ votes.

The adoption of such a resolution shows the disagreement of the members of the Human Rights Commission… According to the Iranian delegation to the UN, the commission adopted the text of the resolution based on incorrect information.

It states that no significant progress has been made on Galindo Pohl’s recommendations on the human rights situation in Iran….

Expressing concern over the situation of Baha’is [in Iran] and the increasing number of executions, it calls for the continuation of the cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the Human Rights Commission and calls for legal procedures to be regulated in accordance with the international treaties [conventions].

Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Human Rights Commission in protest to the above resolution…, emphasized the serious and sincere efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the Special Commission to reach a consensus.
