The Popular Anti-Bahaism Movement Will Soon Launch a Website
According to Fars [News Agency], this popular movement, which will soon announce its existence, will start its open fight against the underground movements of the perverse Baha’i sect.
The first activity of the website of this popular movement will be signing a scroll petition condemning such instigations.
Seyyed Rasoul Pourahmad, a historian, considered the late imam (God’s mercy be upon him) to be a marja’ taqlid [source of authority to follow] in this regard, as the flag-bearer in the struggle against the Baha’i sect. He said marja’ taqlid has seriously confronted this movement and has never agreed to compromise with the Baha’i sect.
In an interview with Fars, he pointed out that from the moment of the formation of thoughts and atheistic instincts, the imitation authorities, as the guardians of religion and Sharia, immediately took action; he said that the marja’ taqlid had dealt with such currents seriously and had never compromised.
Pourahmad, pointing out that, “the position of the marja’ taqlid has always been a sensitive position, and they have directed Islam and Shi’ism’s current position” said that there has always been a danger that opportunistic individuals and sects, such as Baha’is, would infiltrate the house of some of the marja’ taqlid to prepare the ground to achieve their evil goals and intentions.
This expert on the history of Iran continued, “Amongst the struggles of marja’ taqlid with the Baha’i sect, the strong support of Ayatollah Borujerdi for the speeches of the famous preacher Hojjatol-Islam Falsafi, in the spring of 1334 against the Baha’is and Imam Khomeini’s repeated warnings in the 1340s [1960s] about the sect’s influence on the foundations of the Pahlavi government could be pointed out.
Continuing his conversation with Fars, the university professor said that the late imam had said about the danger of Bahaism that “Silence in the face of the crimes of the regime causes our country and our honour to be trampled under the boots of Israel through the Baha’is.”
Pourahmad called Imam Khomeini and [sources of emulation] the flag-bearers in the struggle against the Baha’i sect and reminded [everyone] that Imam Khomeini had said elsewhere that “According to my religious duty, I declare danger to the people of Iran and the Muslims of the world, the Holy Quran, and Islam are at risk. The independence of the country and its economy are under the control of the Zionists who appeared to the Baha’i party in Iran, and it will not be long, with this deadly silence of the Muslims, before they seize the entire economy of this country with the approval of their agents, and remove the Muslim country from existence in all respects.”
Emphasising that the late imam did not stop fighting Bahaism even in exile, the Iranian historian added that, during the imam’s stay in Paris in Dey 1357 [January 1979], the imam was asked in an interview whether there would be political and religious freedoms for the Baha’is in the future government. The imam replied, “Freedom will not be given to people who are harmful to the country.”
