The Ministers of Commerce and Health responded to questions from two representatives of the Consultative Assembly

Report of the Assembly

Yesterday, during the open session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, with the presence of Mr. Ali-Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani as its speaker, Article 8 of the Bill of Relationship between the landlord and the tenant was ratified. In the same session, the ministers of commerce and health responded to the questions of two representatives. Kazem Nawruzi, the representative of the residents of Amol, was the first speaker to talk prior to the Assembly’s ordinary agenda. Referring to the imam’s latest message, he said,...

…Mentioning the misuses of power by some managers, the speaker said that they should be made to understand that they are not permitted to form mafia groups, take advantage of their position, dissipate, and by extravagant expenditures do whatever they would like to.... 

…Thanking the judicial authorities for executing the recent orders of the imam, he added, “We hope that the judiciary will close with decisiveness all the avenues of misuse of the imam’s message to the deviants and opportunists. During the other parts of his speech, the speaker discussed the methods of combating deviant thoughts. He said it was necessary to block the grounds for their acceptance in the community; otherwise, combating with the effect is the same as the imaginary combat of the Hojjatieh Society, which, for 30 years, had [engaged] with Baha’ism, and we observed its adverse results…
