Jomhouri-e Eslami Newspaper – The Hojjatieh Society has Started The Recent Game of Baha’ism / Let us not Aggrandize the Baha’is

[Article written by Abdol-Rahim Abazari in Jomhouri-e Eslami Newspaper]:

Recently, I saw in the memoirs of one of the personalities that in 1345 [1966] the martyr Ayatollah Qazi Tabatabaei had sent a message from Tabriz to the late Ayatollah Taleghani warning of the danger of Baha’ism and calling for a serious fight against this sect.

The late Taleghani replied, “Incidentally, the shah’s government wants the same thing so that you and I, one as Hojjatieh and the other as Baha’i, would become engaged in a struggle, and neglect the crimes of the regime, and this neglect is a matter of principles and attention to the minutiae.”

Unfortunately, this historical fact was quite evident in the performance of the Hojjatieh Society. When an illiterate carpenter ostensibly became a Baha’i, from the pain of lack of money and compulsion, he was raised so much, as if all of Islam was confronted with all infidelity, even figures such as Martyr Qazi were influenced, while the founders of the pillars of the regime were often considered Baha’is, nobody had anything to do with them.

At that historic moment, when all the facilities and propaganda were in the hands of the oppressive imperial regime, it was not expected that some people would not know about the issues behind these puppet shows, and [they] benefited by playing the enemy’s game, but today, when we have a powerful government called the Islamic Republic of Iran, why be the toy of the Hojjatiehs and the Baha’is again?

The fact that a Muslim girl and the daughter of such-and-such a person should not have a relationship or friendship with a Baha’i person is completely true and no one doubts it. Again, the goals of those who raise such issues on the eve of the election of the presidium of the Assembly of Experts is clear to the people and does not need to be explained, and we do not enter into these discussions, either.

But in the meantime, there are suspicious currents that are trying to magnify the Baha’is in this country in order to start another false fight like “Baha’ism and Hojjatieh” and to show the opposite and agreeable serials about “Shahid Javid”, “Shariati” and “Islamic Propaganda” [with the aim] to entertain the people and the officials with the minutiae and to deviate from the principles.

This shows that although the organization of the Hojjatieh Society has apparently been disbanded and shut down, but their intellectual sediments [dregs] still exist in the strata of society, and whenever it wants, it can take everyone into a game again.
