“Pahlavi” and “Islamic”

A few days ago, the sons of Ali-Reza Pahlavi and Hamid-Reza Pahlavi contacted the “relevant authorities” in order to change their surnames from Pahlavi to “Islamic”.

The commentary writer writes that there is no doubt that the sons of the brothers of the previous shah have animosity and many grudges towards him and his family, which resulted in their changing their surnames, trying to somehow take revenge on him. In the mean time they are sure that with the name of “Pahlavi” it will not be easy to live in Iran.

The commentary writer adds, but it is stranger that, these days, the word “Islamic” is catching the eye everywhere. Why? Because previous names are crossed out and replaced with the word “Islamic”, such as: Islamic chelo-kabab, Islamic draper, Islamic chicken shop, and so on.....

The commentary writer adds, even stranger than that is that a lot of members of the perverse Baha’i sect have accepted Islam, and they insist that their photos and details on accepting Islam be published in the newspapers, when previously their questionnaire forms in the departments were completed with the word “Islam”.
