American News Agency

Last week, the United Press, the American news agency, while reporting extensively on Iran, stated, “The army commander of Tehran immediately confiscated a newspaper that had attacked the Jewish minority of Iran. The minister of the interior of Iran announced in parliament that according to the laws of our country, Zoroastrians, Christians and the Jewish minorities are fully respected and they are not different from other people of our nation before the law.”

The news service of France reports, “Since, due to the Iranian clerics’ incitements, peoples’ feelings against a group called the Baha’is were provoked, an order has been issued on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior to all the cities of Iran that the slightest action against public safety should be severely curtailed.

Information from Tehran indicates that full security has been established all over Iran, and the government is in control of the situation more than before.”

Reuters News Service

The British news service, following a news broadcast last week in London, also telegraphed the following news two days ago: “The official and informed Iranian authorities deny the news of any disorder and clashes between Muslims and Baha’is. It is also reported that, in all parts of Iran, Ramadan religious ceremonies have been held in full order.”
