Enclosure

Office of Imam Khomeini

Respectfully, recently one of the retired employees of this company passed away. According to the regulations, his pension should be divided, with half going to his wife and the other half to his children. However, the wife of the deceased, also an employee of this company, was dismissed from service by decision of the Cleansing Committee due to [her] adherence to the perverse Baha'i sect.

The deceased left behind two minors, named Marjan, born 25/4/1344 [15 June 1965], and Mahtab, born 3/7/1346 [25 September 1967], whose custodianship was given to their mother by the Office of Guardianship Affairs in Tehran.

In view of the above, please advise of the Imam's view on the following issues:

  1. Payment of the wife's share of the pension, given that she is the follower of the perverse Baha'i sect, and that she has been deprived of her own salary from government funds.
  2. Payment of the minor dependents of the deceased to their mother.

Please advise.  Enclosed please find copies of probate and the letter from the Office of Guardianship Affairs.

With respect,

Managing Director of Iran Insurance Co,

Seyyed Mohammad Arabi
