Hosein Asadollah-Zadeh

Born: 27 February 1903, Zanjan

Executed in Tabriz on 29 July 1981

 

Hosein Asadollah-Zadeh was born in 1903 in Zanjan.  He obtained a topography degree and worked for the Census Department for nearly 30 years.  He was a member of the Local Spiritual Assembly[1] of the Baha’is of Tabriz for 42 consecutive years.

In June 1980, a number of Pasdars raided his home and arrested him.  He was held at the public prosecutor’s detention centre for preliminary interrogation and then transferred to Tabriz prison.  On 29 July 1981, he was executed together with 8 other Baha’is, Abdol-Ali Asadyari, Masrour Dakhili, Allah-Vardi Misaghi, Manouchehr Khazei , Esmail Zehtab, Parviz Firouzi, Mehdi Baheri and Habibollah Tahghighi. His body was not returned to his family; he was possibly buried by the authorities at the Rahmat Cemetery.
