From the point of view of the Islamic Committee, Mr. Hoseinollah Karam is not restricted and [the Committee] requests that he not be harassed in any way. He is free to be a Baha’i, and no Muslim has the right to intimidate him unless he acts against the nation; otherwise, according to the commandments of the Imam, he is free to hold his religious identity, and should anyone harasses him, he [the perpetrator] would have to answer to the Committee under the order of the Imam.
