Arrest of Hayedeh Foroutan and Mehran Mosallanejad, Baha’i Citizens in Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – Ms. Hayedeh Foroutan and her son Mehran Mosallanejad, Baha’i citizens living in Shiraz, were arrested on Thursday, 1 Mehr [23 September], following a visit to the city’s intelligence office. On Wednesday, 31 Shahrivar [22 September], the agents went to the homes of these citizens, searched their homes, confiscated some of their personal belongings, and took them away. But at the time they were not able to detain Ms. Foroutan due to her absence from home.

These citizens were asked to go to the Shiraz Intelligence Office to give explanations.

Earlier, the houses of these citizens had been inspected twice by the agents. On Wednesday, 31 Shahrivar [22 September], Moin Misaghi and Negareh Ghaderi, other Baha’i citizens living in Shiraz, were also arrested by the security forces after a search of their home and taken to an unknown location.
