With regard to news of abduction of two Baha’i girls in Iran:

The speaker for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the plot of the French News Agency

Reza Alavi: No one in Iran is executed because of his/her belief

Following the news published by the French Press regarding the abduction of two young Baha’i girls in Iran, Reza Alavi, the speaker for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, denied the news two days ago in an interview, and added that, in the present conditions, the setting up of such matters by the government of France is to soil the provision of the refugee permit given to Bani-Sadr, Rajavi and his companions.

Regarding the rumour of the execution of the Baha’is in Iran, the speaker for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the circulation of such inflammatory news by the Zionist News services is baseless [sic]. It should be mentioned that no one in Iran is executed because of his/her belief. The reason for the execution of those so far, has been their affiliation with the Zionist organizations and being spies for the CIA.
