The latest information about the sentence of Mr. Foad Agah

Latest news from Iran

Mr. Foad Agah, a 21-year-old Baha’i resident of Isfahan, [who] was arrested by Ministry of Intelligence agents on 15 January [2009] [26 Dey 1387], along with his non-Baha’i friend, and released on bail on 21 January [2009] [2 Bahman 1387], was recently convicted (date of trial unknown). He was sentenced to one year in prison on charges of “propaganda against the Islamic Republic”, but the court reduced the sentence to four years’ suspended imprisonment due to his youth, lack of experience and the fact that he is not a high-ranking member of the Baha’i community.
